The Members plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/) works great for Gravity Forms and is far less complicated than Role Scoper. Updated for v3.4. : ) ~ John Dove

Role Scoper does not do that, as far as I know. If you want to restrict access to just 2 or 3 pages, why not password protect them and only share the password with those specific users you want to have access?

David,

I really hate to ask you to elaborate on a plugin that is not yours, but I found this forum topic with the same basic question in mind.

All I am wanting to do is have about 2-3 pages that you have to register (give us basic information) to gain access to. Like the OP, I found that most of these plugins actually allow you in the backend of the website, rather than to just the couple of extra pages. Does this rolescoper plugin do that? Or does the add on for gravity forms do this also?

Thanks and sorry again to ask for something out of your normal zone.

- Gary

The Members plugin by Justin Tadlock is another possibility:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/

It shows being slightly out of date though, with compatibility only through WordPress 3.2.1.

David,

Thanks for your reply. I've searched the plugins and actually found very few for user access/role/restrictor. The ones I did find were not granular enough to suit my purpose. Generally, the ones I saw went to the (old) WP paradigm; restrictions applied to pages, posts, categories, etc., but were not applicable to plugins, or at least not *specific* plugins (ideally, I don't want to give them access to ALL plugins, just the one they need - Gravity Forms). Do you know of any more specific plugins that I might have missed?

Thanks,

John

No, user registration add-ons are to add new users. You want something to manage user roles. There are lots of role manager plugins on the WordPress Extend Plugins section of WordPress.org.

Sorry, I couldn't find a clear answer to this question without posting but I think this add-on is what we need. We want to allow officers of caspca.org access to Gravity Form entries, notifications, etc, but we DON'T want to give them full administrative rights on the website and currently that's what we have to do. Is this add-on what we need?

Thanks,
