I was not able to confirm this behaviour. Here is my user profile and the form when it loads with the default values: http://minus.com/mOfTuRLda8pxb

My software environment is the same as yours.

Can you export that form please (go to the Forms menu, then Import/Export, and then up top "Export Forms") and email the XML file to chris@rocketgenius.com. I would like to see how it works for me. Thank you.

We ran the update so that all Gravity Forms, the registration add-on and WordPress are all running the latest version.

The problem persists, though. It is still pulling the two words from the display name rather than first and last name.

Please do let us know your experience with the 1.5 version of the User Registration add-on. The changes and enhancements are documented here: http://www.gravityhelp.com/gravity-forms-user-registration-add-on-v1-5-released/

I just noticed you have an update so I'll have us run that, test it and then get back to you if the problem persists. We are running the latest version of WordPress and Gravity Forms, just not the User Registration add-on.

What version of Gravity Forms are you using, and what version of WordPress and the User Registration add-on are you using as well?

I needed to pre-populate the first and last names on a form that is used by registered users.

To do this, I followed instructions from another post to create two single line text fields and use merge tags {user:first_name} and {user:last_name}.

However, the form is bringing in the first word of the display name for the first name and the second word of the display name for the last name.

Why is it using display name data instead of first and last name data?
