Great Kevin, I feel dumb for not seeing that setting in the main settings area now :) apologies for wasting anytime here. Wonderful plugin as I am sure you have heard from many. Thanks again mate.

There's really no need to use the function call in place of the shortcode method. It's just optional.

If you're adding via the shortcode and the form is appearing on the page, just stick with that. Go to the main form settings page and make sure the "output CSS" option is set to yes. That way the default form styles should load up for you.

Let me know how it goes.

ok so I am not a techie really as such. Can this function php go straight into the texteditor or how does it work. The standard way of using the shortcode is what I have now and it does not work obviosuly enough so il have to tackle this function method but not sure how it works. I have read the tutorial but it says place the code in the header.php but how does the form load on any one page? Sorry for the sill questions!!

Sorry Kevin, I should have been clearer here, I am using the shortcode method, I click the little gravity forms icon on the text editor and up pops a window asking me 3 options and I just click ok which provides the shortcode - however its not working as you point out. I am not sure how to use the function call method but let me do some homework here and try a few things! thanks for your time

Okay, if you're using the function call method to directly embed the form, you'll need to manually enqueue the necessary scripts and CSS in your page. You can find that info at the bottom of the documentation page I referenced before.. look for the section titled "Enqueue Scripts and Styles"

Once the scripts/CSS are loaded properly, you should be good to go.

Hey mate, thanks for that update - at least I know where I am now :) I am simply using the text editor method and nothing fancy what so ever :)

Yep. Your page isn't loading the default forms.css file. That's why the formatting is off and the ready classes aren't working for you.

How are you embedding the form? Via the shortcode in the post editor or directly into the page template using the php function call?

http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Embedding_A_Form

I have added the gf_list_3col class to the advanced field of my form here http://www.jamjodesign.com/form/ however you can see that the multi-choice does not work and is still vertical.

Also changing the size of each label does not seem to do anything either? Any thoughts?
