Make a goal with Google Analytics. If you are using AdWords you just link your AdWords and Analytics together.

You can set Alerts in Analytics doing it this way so you know exactly when you get a conversion.

Basically this is how Analytics knows you got a conversion:
----
1) Someone lands on your form page - Example: .com/form-page

2) They fill out the form (Push submit)

3) User gets sent to another page. Maybe a thank you page. Example: .com/form-page/thanks

When you make a goal, youre telling analytics that a conversion is when someone lands on FORM PAGE and then gets to the THANK YOU page.

If the user gets to the FORM PAGE but then never views the THANK YOU page that means you didnt convert that client into a sale or lead.
-------

Make sense?

ALSO! Gravity Forms is just amazing. The only paid plugin I use.

That was easy...I just installed the conversion code for adwords into the confirmation message in seconds. Hopefully it works...just waiting for our next form submission from our google adwords campaign.

I'm not 100% sure, i'll check it out. The safe bet would be to place the Javascript on a single line. This can be done if you compress the Javascript into one line.

I actually have the same question and did try to just copy/paste the snippet. Unfortunately, wordpress inserts break tags on every line of the snippet. Any idea if this would break the javascript? Thanks

Yes, it is possible.
What you will need to do is simply copy and paste Google's code snippet into your form's confirmation message box (before or after your real confirmation message). That message is only displayed when the form gets submitted so the Google tracking code will only be executed when the form is submitted as well.

Is it possible to use Gravity Forms in conjunction with Google AdWords Conversion Tracking? I would want a "conversion" to be recorded when a form is submitted.

In its most basic implementation, Conversion Tracking works by putting a code snippet on the HTML acknowledgement page generated by an action, but with Gravity Forms we don't have a new page. However, there is support for dynamically generated pages, it's just that the development knowledge is a little beyond my comprehension!

Just to know if it's possible would be good though.
