If you are using Routing, you wouldn't put anything in the standard Send From... it's either one or the other. So you'd have to configure Routing to set the Send From for that form.

Ok Thanks! awesome I understand now. (been a long day)

so for all the answers to question #1 ( no matter where they go) I need to chose an routing email address for every single answer . so Two answers will be told to go to sjones@ and the other 2 will go to the nonqualified@! Gotcha!!

Sorry for all the questions. These gravity forms are new to me and the routing is totally new concept.

One last thing, If every other question and its answers on the form should go to the main staff persons email sjones@.... i still put that email address in the notifications area right?

Thanks again and sorry to be such a bother !!!!!!!!!!

It's either you send to a specific email address... or you use Routing. It doesn't do both. So if you use Routing, you need to make sure whatever field you were basing routing on has a routing rule for every possible answer.

So if you are asking them a question... and basing routing on that question... make sure every answer has a routing rule configured. Because if it does not, then notification will be sent.

So in your case, if you are basing routing on Question #1 then make sure every possible answer in Question #1 has a routing rule configured. Even if it's going to the same email address. It's a different selection so it has to have a rule.

Here is a link to one of the exact forms I am referencing. .

http://myemploymentoptions.com/work-from-home-form/

All forms submitted to us should be going to sjones@myemploymentoptions.com

However, I wanted routing to be set up if the following answers were chosen:

Question #1 -

If "SSI retirement" was chosen or if 'None of the above', was chosen - these two choices only would make these specific forms go to a entirely different email address. But all forms except these answers would continue to go to the sjones@

However, when I chose the two answers in the routing drop down box, all forms that were going to sjones@... stopped going to her and only the routing was turned on.

I hope that helps clear up the scenario I am trying to work with!

See that is the problem. I did do it as you said above.

I misunderstood your instructions just now.

That was exactly my intention. That if applicants chose the answer 'None of the above' or 'SSI retirement', these two answers to question #1 was being routed to nonqualified@myemploymentoptions.com. I set this up by choosing the question in the drop down menu under routing and then typing in the email address.

I wanted all other forms except these two answers, to go to the regular main staff email that I had under notifications.

But choosing routing for those two specific answers in the drop down boxes, turned the main notification off.

The only routing I needed was for those answers to question #1? but the routing turned off the other forms going to the main email adddress?

So I guess I am still not understanding what I am doing wrong :(
sorry

No, not every single answer. Just ever single answer on any fields used for routing. You shouldn't be using every single field on your form for routing purposes. Typically people use it to have a drop down where you pick which department you'd like to contact. Based on the selection in the drop down, it goes to a specific email address.

So are you saying for every single answer on the form I need to use routing and type in (for each question) what address it should go to. I can't just put one question to be routed have to account for every single question? Even if all the rest are to the same email address?

If you have a field that asks a Yes or No question... make sure you have a routing rule created for both the Yes and the No. That would account for both those scenarios.

Thank you for your quick response. I had all forms in the notification area going to 1 email address.

this is sort of new to me, so please bare with me and my questions!!

I click on the routing radio button and if someone answered Yes to a specific question (which I chose in the drop down menu) these specific forms were routed to a specific staff email address.

But I still want the rest of the forms that do'nt answer that way, to go the main staff email address ?

Can you be more specific in how to account for all scnearios? Thanks!
