I'll see if I can convince one of them to do a few tests for me.

Worth noting that on both occasions, they were able to use the contact form, also powered by Gravity, but on the same day, the booking form would not come through. Wouldn't W3 Total Cache interfere with any form they tried to use?

W3 Total Cache can interfere with form submissions and notifications. Can you test for a while without that plugin enabled?

If it were just the notification which did not arrive, it could be related to their individual email address. But because the entry and notification are both missing, it is not related to their email address I don't think.

Like I said, if it were every email submission and notification not getting through, it would be a simple matter to deactivate every plugin and then work through them all one by one.

The key thing is that this problem is not consistent with all users. But when a user is affected, their emails never come through. It's too random to predict which email to do it with. I did ask one of those that reported it to me to try with a different browser, which he did, with the same results.

I have w3 Total Cache installed because the site was running slow at one point.

Sorry, I seemed to stop receiving notifications from you on this thread.

Like I said, some submissions come through, with both an entry and notification email. Some don't. I received yours when it came in. But I only know of the ones that don't work if someone tells me. And I've been informed twice.

Surely, if it were a plugin conflict, it would affect all submissions the same.

I just received email notification:

You form will be reviewed and if appropriate, you will receive a reply. Detailed responses tend to pique my interest in a subject and make it easy for me to overcome even the most challenging of minds.

My guess is that there is an entry.

OK, this is good to know. If there is no entry and no notification email, it could be a couple things. First, be sure you are not using any caching plugins. Those will interfere with form submissions.

Secondly, please check for theme and plugin conflicts by following these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing - it's possible you have a plugin interfering with the the form submissions. If no entry is recorded, there will not be an email notification.

I just made a test submission and everything appeared to work OK. I did see this confirmation message:

Thanks for contacting us! We will get in touch with you shortly.

I do not have a notification email yet. Please check for an entry. It was from chris@rocketgenius.com - thanks

Thank you for your prompt response.

When the email notification does not arrive, neither is there an entry recorded in the admin. The only entries I see in admin are the ones where I did receive an email notification, including my test. With the two "complainants", each of them attempted several times but there is no record of their entries, not even one.

When the email notification does not arrive, is the entry recorded properly in the admin? If so, you have an email delivery problem. Please confirm is that is the issue: entries are recorded but email notification is not being received and we will go from there. If that is not the issue, please clarify. We'll have to focus on one problem and one site at a time.

It has come to my attention that forms being submitted on my site are not then sending the data to me. It works sometimes, I know because I receive submissions. But some prospective clients have contacted me using the contact form, also powered by Gravity, to chase up their enquiry. I've asked them to complete the form again and it is clear nothing is coming through. I even logged in to see the stored forms already submitted and the forms of these two people in particular were nowhere to be found. It was as if they had never completed and submitted a form. They do not receive either error message after submission, nor a confirmation page.

I did a test each time and it worked for me.

What concerns me is that those contacting me may be the tip of the ice-berg and when I think things are slow, it may simply be that more unlucky ones are completing a form in good faith then waiting for me to get in touch. I, not receiving anything, am none the wiser. There is no way for me to know how far reaching this problem is.

If the problem affected every one getting in touch, I would understand. But it only affects some. I updated the plugin today after the second query, and asked him to humour me and repeat completing the form. He did. Again, I received nothing.

What are the conditions when Gravity form will not submit data entered? I am certain it is not user error with this. And others may be affected.

I do not know if any other forms have this problem. Like I said, the people who completed Form X that did not submit, then used Form Y (a standard contact form) to follow up why they had not had a reply and that worked with no problem.

The form presenting problems can be found at: http://www.queencleopatra.co.uk/booking-real-time-erotic-hypnosis
