I considered having multiple feeds, however MailChimp recommends segmenting by groups rather than separate lists. It appears the primary advantage is when sending a campaign you're able to check off which segments to send to rather than having to create a newsletter and then duplicating it multiple times for each other list you want to send it to.

I'll be looking forward to to this feature next time the MailChimp add-on is enhanced.
Thanks Carl

You should be able to have multiple MailChimp feeds per form. However, MailChimp "groups" aren't currently supported. It's a feature we plan on adding once we get around to enhancing the MailChimp Add-On. I can't give you an ETA because we are currently working on other development and Add-Ons. Until the MailChimp Add-On enhancements are in development any ETA I give you would be a blind guess. But it is an enhancement that is planned.

I was wondering if there's an ETA for when this functionality may come out? Currently I'm looking for a newsletter signup form where the user is able to "select interests" which would correspond with MailChimp lists.

Thanks

@aapuri Currently this isn't possible with the existing versions of the Add-Ons. However, it is a feature we plan on supporting later this year by allowing multiple feeds per form and using conditionals to determine which one gets executed.

Hello There,

I am looking to do the following:

- Create multiple newsletter lists on Mailchimp

- Have registration form on my website, where the user can select which list they want to subscribe to (i.e. a checklist with all the available list names

Is this possible using gravity forms + mailchimp and registration addons?

thanks for your help...

Yes all the add-ons can work together. A user can be registered and added to your MailChimp list using both add-ons.

If you use custom meta fields when registering a user, only the data is created. If you want those custom meta fields to appear on their profile page you have to customize WordPress to display them. We are considering enhancing this functionality in the future and making it automatically add those fields to the user profile edit screen, but there are some logistics we have to work out as far as UI (ordering the fields, etc.). It's kinda outside the scope of what Gravity Forms currently does.

There are plugins out there that let you add custom fields to the profile editor and here is a good tutorial on how to do so:

http://justintadlock.com/archives/2009/09/10/adding-and-using-custom-user-profile-fields

This of course isn't going to update MailChimp preferences. You'd have to customize things further to do that as Gravity Forms doesn't have any involvement with the user profile editor.

Hello - quick question: Can I use Gravity Forms + the registration add-on + mailchimp integration add-on so when a user registers on the site, they fill out all required info and can sign up to mailchimp (including sub-groups) right on that one page?

If so, what happens when that user then wishes to change their profile information? I know that gravity forms doesn't allow editing as such, so they have to access their profile from the WP admin area but will the admin area include the extra user-fields that I've created? Also, will they be able to change their mailchimp preferences from the WP admin as well?

I hope this makes sense.

Cheers.
