I hope you don't mind me cutting into this thread but I am needing a table setup similar to yours and wanted to ask how exactly you set up the columns with the titles above them?

I appreciate any feedback you can provide for me. ;-)

Hi Chris,

The above problem is strange and it's going to come back and haunt me some time in the future.

I have therefore decided to follow a different approach. I have created a seperate section of the website just for the orders and I am using checkboxes with Conditional Logic and it seems to work a 100%. I am now busy working on the first batch and up to "BBQ - catering" all works well - http://herbandspicegirl.co.za/order-products/herbs-spices/

Let's just hope and pray there isn't a limit to the conditional logic fields.

Unfortunately I have already deleted the previous form so I don't have the XML for it anymore but I will keep your email for future use in case the problem appears again.

Now that I have dug deeper into GF I am convinced that I am still going to do some powerful stuff with it in future. I am particularly interested in dynamic field population and think that it in combination with conditional logic has a lot of potential.

Thanks for your help - Gravity Forms rock! and it's worth every cent I paid for it.

If I submit your form as a test, will I receive a copy of the notification showing the problem you describe? Can you export the form as XML and send it to me at chris@rocketgenius.com and I will take a look?

Hi Chris,

I have now set it up with a few items of products from "All purpose seasoning" to "BBQ – seasoning" using conditional formatting on this link - http://herbandspicegirl.co.za/products/herbs-spices/ and all works fine HOWEVER:

When the email comes through with the order request it only contains the list of products and all the other fields in the form but none of the quantities for the products.

Where am I going wrong???

Hi Chris,

I am pretty new to Gravity Forms.

In your 1st suggestion, which field boxes do I use? A checkbox + another field for conditional logic?

In your 2nd suggestion, which field boxes do I use? Perhaps a list field but how do I pre-populate list box content and can one dynamically create new list rows maybe with conditional logic? When I preview list boxes they are just empty boxes with the option to ad more and more rows.

I will try either suggestions if you could please indicate which I should select on the right. Once I know that I could play with it a little more.

I am sure once I am more confident with GF, creative thinking will fall in place;-)

I actually can't believe that such a simple request can become so complicated with GF.

I think you could use conditional logic to show a field where the quantity can be entered. So, a checkbox list of all your products, and when a checkbox is ticked, the quantity field is revealed and the quantity is entered.

However, this seems overly complicated. Why not have your list of products with a quantity field next to it, pre-fill the quantity with 0, and allow them to enter a quantity. Then, your submission will contain a quantity greater than zero which indicates interest in a product.

There may be other solutions as well, with some creative thinking.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

The client only wants to create a shopping cart environment at a later stage so no, currently there is no commerce support needed. For that I will create a separate solution from Gravity Forms in the future.

I am also aware that there is no provision to import a spreadsheet so yes I am going to have to copy/paste each product one by one.

For clarification: The site visitor needs to see the full list of products and next to each product there needs to be a tick box to mark/select the product and then next to that there needs to be a field where the site visitor indicates the quantity of the product required. My client will then receive an email with the full list where she will be able to see which field relating to the product has been ticked and of course the quantity relating to that product.

Obviously below this list there will also be fields for delivery address etc as per normal but that I don't have a problem with. It's only the part as indicated above.

This seems like quite a simple request but I have been looking around the Internet to no avail. Thanks a mill and I await your response eagerly.
