If you need to do this in the future, I would recommend exporting the forms from each site as step 1a.

Also, in step 3, where you edit the SQL dumps (I think) is where this goes wrong. If you edited any value which was serialized, the length of the value would change and the field would become invalid. that causes Gravity Forms to stop working. In the future, just export the forms first and import after you move the site.

HI,
no i forgot to mentioned that one.
i just finished rebuilding the forms.

luckely to most enhanced form was recovered with the recover-plugin.
the other ones i had to rebuild
but it were just 2 forms that could be copied to all websites
and only update the email adresses and subjects.

regarding how i moved.
1. made full downloads from old server
2. made SQL downloads
3. Updated SQL scripts to new domain news (for 3 websites)
4. Upload all
5. Update all needed plugins

(old website admin - did not do anything for years)
maybe with the manual script update something went wrong?

but now it has been fixed..
thanks for your help!!

You did not mention moving servers. Did you change domains as well? How many changes did you make at the same time? Sounds like at least updating WordPress, updating Gravity Forms and moving to a new server?

You might have to rebuild the forms, or, if you can explain how you changed domains or servers maybe we can help you recover the forms.

hi
it is indeed a combination of moving to new servers and updating WP to the latest version
and Gravity forms.

the recovery tool worked for some forms, but not for all
(This form's meta could not be recovered.)
i have now 2 out of 8 forms back
and of those 4 are the same form- basic contact forms - on different websites.

guess it is gonna be rebuilding then...

i deleted the folder wp-content and re-installed but no luck :(

Were the forms working properly before upgrading? What things did you upgrade all at the same time? Are you using the latest Gravity Forms and WordPress versions? Did you change servers or domains or hosting providers?

This does not normally happen. I don't think the meta recovery tool will help you as it is not seeing any of your forms. The meta recovery tool can be found here if you would like to try it.

http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/

Also, you can try deleting the gravityforms plugin folder (using FTP, just delete the folder altogether, do NOT "Uninstall Gravity Forms" from the Gravity Forms settings page.) If you just delete the plugin folder, your database will be fine and no forms or entries will be lost. Then you can reinstall Gravity Forms and reactivate.

hi,
after 1 year we finally renewed our Gravity Forms license and upgrade the WP-Plugin.
but now when going into the forms section.

Gravity forms cannot / is not reading the rg_form_meta table
all the old setup is there, but when opening the screen in the forms.
it says '' untitled form''
so i need to start a new one.

when i create one it is stored as a new Form ID.

how can i re-connect the rg_form_meta table
is there maybe a plugin upgrade we missed and now we cannot read the rg_form_meta table??
