You can insert the shortcode anywhere in a post or page; before or after text or any other content in your post or page. You can write whatever you want on either side of the shortcode to insert the form.

Thanks, Chris,

Is it possible to position the form on the page - i.e. to specify where the form will be embedded on a page and to write 'normal' text before and/or after the form?

You can take a look at any of the pages on my demo site to see the default styles with the Twenty Eleven theme http://gravity.chrishajer.com/

If you use a full-width template, Gravity Forms will take up 98% of it by default, but you can change that to be more or less. All the changes to the size and look of form elements will be done in your own theme or child theme stylesheet.

It does not look like a form pasted into a page. The form is output by shortcode right into the post or page.

You can also view some sample forms here on the official demo site: http://www.gravityforms.com/demo/

If you have something specific in mind, I'm sure I can find an example for you of that as well.

Thanks,

Do you have some examples I can see of the default styles?

If I were to make a page using 'full-width template, no sidebar', would the form fill the width of the page?

Would it look like a form pasted onto the page (with a border or line surrounding it) or would it blend in to the page?

It means that Gravity Forms comes with some default styles, in case your theme does not style all the form elements, but if your form does style form elements, Gravity Forms will inherit those styles. So, the form blends in to your site because it is using the styles from your theme.

If you find that your theme styles are not taking preference, you can turn off the output of Gravity Forms styling, and use all the styles from your theme.

And finally, to customize the display of form elements, the little effort is adding new styles to your theme's stylesheet. We can help you with that if you need it. Just post the link to your form online and let us know what element you want to change the look of.

From your sales video 'GravityForms automatically blends to the style of your WP theme'

What does that mean in practise? Do you have some pages to show that illustrate that?

And it says 'you can customize it with just a little effort' - What is involved?

Thanks
