Yes, you can use drop down fields that have pre-defined numbers in them. Then use the Number field, enable calculation and simply put your formula in the calculation area using the merge tag drop down. So your calculation will look like this:

MergeTag1 * MergeTag2

If you wanted to use the drop downs for a combination of text and numbers, you can enable values and then calculate the valies in the merge tag like this:

MergeTag1:value * MergeTag2:value

Don't copy and paste this, use the Merge Tag drop down in the calculation builder on the number field.

Hi
I have now purchased and tried applying what you suggest but I come against the following:

1-Can a NUMBER field be a drop down selection

2- If I had one field for the height and one for the width then had a third NUMBER field to display the result of multiplying the height X width and enabled calculation for it how do I get it to display does the formula use the previous two fields ID (i.e. the height fiels and the width field)

Can you please give me a step by step example as am not sure how to arrive at this..

I checked the forum and found a similar question (by jstunzi :: post # 1) but it had been designated resolved without displaying how..
I'd be grateful for your assistance.

Best regards
