Yes, if he is using Gravity Forms v1.6 he can use the enhanced UI for the drop down field which has a different look. But otherwise if he's using jQuery and/or HTML5 to style a drop down so it doesn't look like the default he would have to apply the same customization to the form fields... which means he would have to be familiar with how that jQuery and/or HTML5 works in order to apply it to the Gravity Forms drop downs.

Chris, correct me if I'm wrong but if he is using Gravity Forms 1.6 he could enable the advanced user interface for those drop downs which replaces the standard select with divs and li's which he can then apply his own styles to overriding the default gravity/chosen styles.

It might be possible as a customization. Looks like they are using jQuery or HTML5 to do that. It's not something that Gravity Forms will do out of the box.

Here is a drop down menu that I like. Can I use a graphic like this and somehow insert the users selection over the top of it as text when they choose an option from the list?

Newbie Alert!!!

I am new to Gravity Forms, and also pretty new to web design. I have created my first form and I am getting a better handle on how to customize the look of my fields but I cannot figure out how to change the appearance of drop down lists.

I have checked my form on both Macs and Windows and the drop downs are currently using the systems default appearance. Can someone please point me to where I can learn how to change how these look? Would I customize these with picture? CSS?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
