If you want actual vertical columns, you would have to use jQuery to introduce some additional markup into the field. The easiest work around would be to re-order your items/checkboxes ( 1-4-7-2-5-8-3-6-9 ) so that they lay out/read the way you want them to.. ( see example below ) - maybe not the most elegant solution, but a solution nonetheless. When I add the gf_list_3col to a checkbox widget I get the 3 colums that I want, but the checkboxes are listed horizontally. </p>
