You can manually overwrite the plugin files without losing your forms/data.

If you're really concerned, you can always backup the database or just the related Gravity Forms tables with phpMyAdmin or use something like the backup buddy plugin to do it as an extra precaution.

I need to upgrade gravity forms manually as automatic upgrade won't work due the version of Wordpress I was running when I first installed gravity forms.

How do I upgrade manually? Just upload the latest GF version to my plugins folder via FTP and replace the old version? What I'm worried about is losing my current forms.

Some clarification here would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Mark
