Gravity Forms installs just like any other WordPress plugin. You won't be able to install via the automatic installer because the plugin is commercial and isn't hosted in the WordPress plugin repository.

You can install using the upload feature and once installed and the license key is activated, Gravity Forms updates are handled the same as any other plugin, directly from the plugin page.

Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin that you must purchase, download, and then upload to your site either via the built in WordPress plugin uploader or via FTP.

WordPress has a plugin infrastructure which is how it interfaces with your WordPress install. It works just like any other WordPress plugin.

You won't find it on the WordPress.org plugin repository as it is only available on our site as it is a commercial product.

After you install and activate the plugin on your WordPress site it adds a new menu item to your WordPress admin that allows you to build and manage forms. You can view the video demo at the http://www.gravityforms.com web site.

I’m a little confused. I can’t seem to access installation instructions as this requires a purchase.

Do I somehow access Gravity’s plugin through the usual wordpress plugin downloader and installer or will I be downloading a proprietary piece of software? I can’t seem to find Gravity on the list of Wordpress plugins.
Being newly acquainted with Wordpress I‘m sure that I’m missing something obvious but I would like to know how Gravity interfaces with Wordpress. Independent software running on our server is yet another piece of software that could add complication.

I would much rather an easy Wordpress facilitated installation than independent software. What can I expect from installation after purchase?
