Is there any update to this?

I really need to be able to find a way for users to submit a listing on my site (via a simple gravity form), then allow them to edit the form they created.

I thought making a copy of the form, and setting it to "edit" (vs. the original "create"), then setting the access level to "only the original submitter" would work. But it does not.

Again, all I need is to allow users to use a gravity form to create a standardized post, and have a specific link that takes them to a form that simply allows them to edit the existing form content.

Thanks a ton for the help!

@toth User Registration won't be added to the main codebase. User Registration is a niche need and not something that would be used by the average Gravity Forms user and therefore it isn't something we would add to the core. It would only cause code bloat. We add features to the core that will be used by most users and leave specialized functionality and use cases to Add-Ons.

Gravity Forms does not allow users to edit form entries. The user registration add-on creates a user, so if he wants to edit his user account after he has registered then you would have to give him access to the profile editor that is built into WordPress. Gravity Forms simply creates the user.

Any news on this? There is this addon, but only available for the dev license: http://www.gravityhelp.com/gravity-forms-user-registration-add-on-v1-0-beta-1-released/

You could merge this addon into the main codebase. How about that?

My question: can the user edit the submissions later? Or once the user registered, the fields aren't editable anymore by the same user?

Hi, Love this product! I'm new at this and I wonder if I can use GF to create polls and display results as I currently do for Poll daddy. I would rather invest in one product.

Wanted to find out the status of the 'register users' feature. I see v.1.4 is about to be released, but I don't know if that feature is included in this new release.

If it's not, how exactly can I connect user information submitted through a Gravity Form into the built-in user fields in WordPress?

UPDATE: I'm reading this post by newport (http://forum.gravityhelp.com/topic/integration-with-wordpress-users#post-6658) and it seems to show what code to use. Now I just need to test it myself.

Jesse, thanks for the reply. Trust me, we want to get these things done as quickly as we can for everyone. Honestly, we want to use the new toys too and believe me, I'm far from the most patient person so I get antsy waiting on new goodies.

PayPal integration is the next big thing on the list so we'll get it out to you as soon as we can. It's a little more involved than some of the others because there will have to be some new calculation field types added in to support even basic PayPal functionality and we're trying to make sure everything is architected properly so it works well and it's also as easy as possible to use.

As always, we appreciate the feedback and your continued patience. We'll try to get the Christmas list covered as quickly as we can.

I hear ya Kevin and I understand... I'm just like a 5 year old waiting for Santa.. if I get told hes coming on Friday I will sit up all night waiting, and waiting.. and well, you know how it goes lol..

As for me, the PayPal integration is what I have been waiting on, for what seems like an eternity :D so hearing that will be first sits very very well with me.

Jesse,

There's plenty of movement. Actually, Gravity Forms version 1.3.13 was released today and adds several new (highly requested) features and enhancements like importing/exporting forms, inline HTML content and more. There's also a lot of other Gravity Forms development happening concurrent with the other projects.

There's no making excuses here nor any "back burner" that Gravity Forms is on. We never stated that we were halting development on the forms for any reason. We're actively working on Gravity Forms and also working to diversify our business and our product offerings.

I'm sure you're waiting for a few specific features as well are many other people. It just takes time to go down the feature list and some things have a broader appeal than others so they're going to get done first. Sure a registration form is something a lot of people want, but more people are requesting PayPal integration so that's probably going to be the next big add-on.

Keep in mind that these are feature requests and not bug fixes people are waiting on and we never committed to any specific release schedule.

Registered users are eligible for updates as they become available whenever that may be. We do try to release new features as often as possible, but quality has to take precedence over rushing something out the door.

Not to be a party pooper but (and I'll try to put this delicately) the "new product is coming" speech has been reused on here for over 6 months.. I know how it can be juggling things around but quite honestly, if that new project is causing GF/addons etc to be put on the back burner that would be like me telling one of my clients that I'm blowing them off until I finish some changes to my own site, but I'm not quite sure when that will be.

It would have been much better to never use that reason than to use it over and over and keep pushing the date back. I know we are a demanding bunch :) but there are a few things that many have asked about for quite some time and it would be awesome to start to see some movement in those directions..
