It's very difficult to debug a user/server specific issue without having access to look at the site firsthand.

Could you setup a test site somewhere that we could access and see if you can replicate the issue and if you can then give us access to it?

What is the actual JavaScript error though? Did you post it and I missed it? Or is it just functionality that is not working as expected with no actual error message?

For example, I get an error like this in my WordPress admin:

Error: jQuery("#title_1279898215").Counter is not a function
Source File: http://www.example.com/wp-admin/
Line: 389

But everything seems to be working OK. Sounds like something is not working as expected for you (an understatement), but what is the JavaScript error you mentioned in the first post?

Thanks

What is the error? And what browser does it occur with? I'd like to try to reproduce it. Also, what version of Gravity Forms and WordPress?

I have had some weird things with Chrome and Firefox where an add-on was making a call that resulted in the javascript error, but it still shows up in the error console (I'm thinking maybe some Gmail checker add-on or something.) It just happened to show up in the console at the same time as trying to isolate a website problem.

Hi Kevin,

The site is on a staging server and is not yet accessible to anyone outside our work network. So its abit difficult. Got an email from Carl Hancock with some steps to follow.

"This sounds like some sort of javascript conflict. Another plugin (or possibly your theme) is outputting javascript in the admin and isn't isolating it to only output the javascript when it is necessary.

What you will need to do is check for plugin and theme conflicts:

- Activate the default WordPress theme (Kubrick on 2.0, 2010 on 3.0)
- Test Gravity Forms to see if it works properly

If it does work properly then something in your theme is causing a javascript issue. If it doesn't work properly then move on to checking for plugin conflicts:

- Deactivate ALL plugins
- Activate Gravity Forms
- Test Gravity Forms to see if it works properly

If Gravity Forms works properly then you will need to now check to see which plugin is causing the issue:

- Activate each plugins one by one
- Test Gravity Forms after you activate each plugin

You will most likely then hit a plugin that causes the issue to start happening. That plugin is most likely outputting javascript on the Gravity Forms admin pages because the developer of whichever plugin is causing the issue didn't code it properly."

Andrew,

There's no way to really know what's going on without seeing the error and what's happening (or not happening). If you can send us an admin login to your site via the contact form we'll be happy to get in there and see what we can find out.
