It is to provide some separation between the fields and the submit button.</p> <p>If you want to change it you will have to add custom CSS to your theme to adjust the spacing as necessary. Go back and check the descriptions and make sure you delete any empty characters or break tags that are in there. Make sure if you don't want anything in the field descriptions that you don't have anything in the field description fields for each of your fields.
