Gravity Forms v1.6 will be released as a beta release later this month. Gravity Forms v1.7 will probably be released towards the end of the year. v2.0 will not be until sometime next year. That is the best I can tell you as we don't release concrete release dates except for things that are in active development which v1.6 is and I can tell you it will be released as a beta later this month.

Thanks Carl!
What is the roadmap/timeline for GF 1.6 and GF 1.7 and finally GF 2.0?

This can be accomplished as a customization but it's a more advanced customization. The ability to display data on the front end and allow users to edit data they created is something we plan on making the focus of the v1.7 release of Gravity Forms.

Did anyone accomplish this? I would love to be able to edit posts with GF! That would just be the icing on the cake! Shall we all bundle together and pay a developer? Seems that so many people are after this feature!!!

I would like to see this feature, too.

Submitted content should be editable by the content author through GF (not through Dashboard) if admin enables this feature. Should be possible, TDO Mini Forms has such a feature, where Athors can (edit the content through the submission form after it has been published.

Dashboard isnt the right solution if you want to make your site very simple to use for not wordpress experienced users and want to keep them out of the backend.

You can create custom post type in WordPress and specify user ability to edit posts of this specific type with role manager. In practice you will have to answer yourself some questions on role management and permissions in WP.
This is outside the scope of GF like Kevin said.

No. Gravity Forms does not allow editing of posts after they have been created. It is only for creating data. Post editing would have to occur in the WordPress Dashboard. It could be done as a customization but would require writing custom code on your end.

Dear Gravity Forms,

I'm trying to build a WP site where each user has their own page that they can edit with standardized information (name, address, contact info, menu, etc). My users aren't too tech-savvy so I need it to be really easy to edit their information.

Can Gravity Forms help me do that? I want users to only be able to edit their page, and not to create new ones. When a client contacts me I would create a new page for them, and let them populate the fields with their information.

Please advise, thank you!
Mark
