I was originally building the form using do_shortcode() within a page template, outside the content loop. Link elements are not supposed to exist outside the head, and this causes a W3C validation error. It also makes it slightly harder to override Gravity Forms styles in another stylesheet that's been enqueued and printed in the head. I've disabled CSS output and styled my forms manually, but is this a bug with Gravity Forms or Wordpress? </p>
