When MailChimp sees the comma, it expects the string to be a list of groups (comma-delimited). Please send me news on events, teaching etc" as my group title. I used a group name of "testing group" and it worked fine. However, if I used "Yes! Please send me news on events, teaching etc" for the Group Name (the subcategory of the Group Title) I was not subscribed.
