I have this exact situation. My problem is that if someone is already on the MailChimp list, they can't submit my member registration form. THey keep getting an error that they are already subscribed to MailChimp. Is there some way to subscribe new users and ignore previously subscribed users?

Thanks,

Yes. Gravity Forms can do this when using the Gravity Forms MailChimp Add-On combined with the Gravity Forms User Registration Add-On. You would need a Developer License in order to access these.

The only thing it won't do is restrict access to certain pages. You would need to use another plugin such as the Members plugin to handle that. Gravity Forms does not to content protection of pages/posts. But it can create/register users and add them to MailChimp lists in the process.

I need to create a subscription-based WordPress site. I want people to be able to register on the site (for free), then I need the form to a) create a new WordPress user/subscriber; and b) add the subscriber to a MailChimp mailing list.

I want to use the WordPress user accounts to restrict access to certain pages to subscribers only, whilst using a MailChimp list to manage the subscribers details, so that they can be sent email newsletters.

I also want the registration form to include additional fields, such as postal address, with the values submitted to be either saved against the WordPress user account or passed to MailChimp and saved in the mailing list. Ideally, both.

Can Gravity Forms do this?

(I hope all that makes sense?!)

Thanks.
