I wanted to update from 1.6.11 to 1.6.12, and the automatic update wasn't working properly, for whatever reason. So I decided to update manually - I download the gravityforms-1.6.12 folder, extracted it, and replaced the current gravityforms folder that was in my plugins folder with it.

That's all I did. I'm fairly new to WordPress, so I don't know if there's any more steps to this manual update process.

Anyways, with that change made, Gravity Forms now does not show up in the Dashboard, anywhere. Not in the Plugins page or anything, so I can't activate it. I had no forms before, so I can't tell if they would still be working.

Where did I go wrong? What can I do to fix the situation?

EDIT: To follow up, the problem has been fixed. Basically, I extracted the parent of the gravityforms folder to the FTP directory, and ended up with one folder too deep of hierarchy.
