Yes, you could use Gravity Forms for initial registration and then use another plugin for profile editing after the user exists. This is functionality we'd like to add in the future.

sorry for the delay, thanks for clarifying that

in theory, could i use gravity for ential registration and future email / form filling

and use a 2nd plugin simply for custom account info editing etc?

Gravity Forms should be able to do what you described, however keep in mind Gravity Forms only creates the user. It doesn't currently let the users edit their account information. It only creates the user as a new user. If you need profile editing capabilities you would have to use another solution.

We may add this as a feature in the future, but currently it doesn't have editing capabilities. It only creates new data and in this case new users.

reading this again, i am thinking it would be easily achieved and better in the long run if the ablity was to use gravity forms to edit the account info (as above) so that any additions could be recorded too

i.e.. info edit form
name, email, address, custom dynamic check boxes, + addition text fields

then next time the editi, the addional text fields are added to the check box list?

hope this makes sense, i feel i am rambling and making this sound more confusing than it is..

thanks again in advance

Hey Gravityers,
I have been looking at using gravity forms for a while. I just wonder if I could use it to do the following

Custom User Registration Form
I am aware that this can be done, but want to check it can do exactly what I need.
User signs up, Name / Email / Address / Custom drop down / 5x custom text fields
(also, on sign up I would need all the above info emailed to admin as well as stored in db)

Dynamic Form
Name / Email / Address / Dropdown, Custom text fields = Dynamic check boxes
Can this be done? Is it a standard feature? If not how difficult would it be to achieve?

Thank you in advance
