Hi Carl,
"we have to develop features based on user demand"
I see. Then I hope to see some other users, which use GF for content submission, second motion minimum word count :)

Best Regards

Gravity Forms doesn't support a minimum word count, so it can only be done as a customization using jQuery. It does, however, support a maximum character count. Which allows you to limit how many characters a user can enter into textarea fields. Maximum characters is far more requested than minimum characters so we have to develop features based on user demand.

No, if you purchase Gravity Forms we will not write this customization for you. Customizations are not support. We can provide you guidance and examples when we have them, but we can't write the code for you. So if you aren't a programmer, you would have to have someone who could do this for you.

The Post Body fields already formats content entered into it. The user doesn't have to enter HTML paragraph tags. They just have to use the enter key to create line breaks and everything will be taken care of for them.

Hi,
what custom code does it need to have a forced minimum word count for the content field? I am no programmer, do I get support for this after purchasing grafvity forms developer license (priority support)?

Same Question for disabling HTML Tags to post content section. And if somebody writes a paragraph in the content field, makes two line breaks and wirtes another paragraph (without html tags for paragraphs or breaks), will it be displayed in two paragrapf like the user has written, or will the text be merged to one paragraph(what I expect as you say it is simple handled as a string). Thats why I asked if a basic wysiwyg editor is possible.

The link you posted do not work for me.

Best Regards

Hi Mobe,

I want to use GF for Content submission and want the submitted content to have a minimum word count. Can you make an update with the option to set a minimum word count for the Content and custom fields?

Is it possible to integrate a little WYSIWYG Editor in the submit form? Just a simple one with bold, list, italic. Perhaps configurable wich formatings to display in it?

Both are possible, but would require custom code. These are not default features of Gravity Forms.

In regards to handling HTML, the post content field will handle it as a string and add it as typed to the post content section: http://grab.by/agME - Disabling HTML tags would require custom code on your part.
