@titusdco You can add a Product field to your form, and select User Defined Price as the field type for that Product Field. Then the user can enter the price for the product.

Okay...so if they make multiple donations to separate funds (now products) where will they enter the amount for each fund?

Use a Product Field set to User Defined Price. Then use an Option Field for the "Type" selection and don't have the Options impact the price.

You don't have to use Donations with PayPal, you can use Product Fields also. If you use Product Fields you will need to configure your PayPal settings so it is a Products/Services and not a Donation. When using the Donation transaction only the Donation field is used and all other Product Fields are ignored.

The Donation transaction type is really limited in PayPal. It's better to use standard Payments than Donations. In hindsight I wish we didn't incorporate the Donation field type because of the issues it has caused (ie. you can't mix products and donations, etc.). Stick with Product/Option fields instead and don't bother using the Donation type.

The transaction is still the same, it's just presented differently on the PayPal checkout side of things.

I am working on a donation page that basically allows the user to choose what type of donation is being made and the amount being donated. How would I do this using this plugin?

I have tried creating an option field and putting in the various values for type of donation, but leaving the pricing blank - then using a donation field to capture the amount. That doesn't work...

So I added a standard drop-down field with the donation type choices in, then added conditional donation fields that would appear based on the selection. That worked, but it also passed all the label values to PayPal making it impossible (from within PayPal) to determine what the donation was going towards (under Purpose).

Any way to accomplish this and pass only the correct purpose to PayPal?
