This is a PHP memory issue. That is a huge form (52 pages), you don't have the available PHP memory to process the AJAX request. I was able to duplicate that form, and add a new field to it just fine but couldn't save it because the AJAX can't complete the process due to a lack of available PHP Memory.

You would have to increase your available PHP Memory. Here is an article that discusses this:

http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit

While Gravity Forms can handle all the pages you want to handle, that doesn't necessarily mean your server has the resources to do so and 52 pages is pretty extreme.

I'm using a Genesis Theme.

I updated the wp-config file as it said in that article. i disabled all plugins that I don't need (mostly I'm using WP SuperCache, Akismet, and Gravity Plugins).

And I'm still getting the same issue.

I'm happy to give UN and PW via the contact form cuz I need to get this fixed right away.

Thanks for the response!

It's either a plugin conflict, theme conflict, or PHP memory issue. I would start with increasing your PHP memory as deactivating plugins could mask a PHP memory issue because deactivating plugins will free up memory which would allow it to begin working properly.

But it sounds like the AJAX is unable to fire because of a lack of available PHP memory.

Here is a tutorial that discusses how to increase available PHP memory:

http://www.nerdgrind.com/increase-wordpress-and-php-memory-limit/

After you do that, if it doesn't work then it could be a conflict. You'd have to check for theme and plugin conflicts by deactivating everything and activating plugins one by one until you encounter one that triggers the issue to start happening. Same goes with your theme, you'd test your theme by testing using the default Twenty Ten theme.

But it sounds like a PHP memory issue.

I've just uploaded the newest beta version of GF to a website and created my first form. However, when I click on the fields to add them, nothing is happening. Any idea why?

Thanks for the help.

I'd post the site with a form but don't have any created since I can't add fields on the back end.
