No it isn't documented anywhere, typically with the Members plugin activated when you activate Gravity Forms it automatically adds the necessary capabilities to the admin role.

BUT in your situation you had the Members plugin removed, but the tables existed so it was a situation that we had not encountered before or had not yet been reported by any users.

It is something we can add to the FAQ.

Thank you.

I was not using the Members plugin, but had at one time, and apparently the tables remained.

I reactivated, added the Gravity Forms permissions, and I'm good to go.

Is this worth adding to the documentation? I didn't find it with a search.

Thanks, again!

This could be one of 3 things.

- First off are you running the Members role management plugin from Justin Tadlock? If so you will need to edit your Admin role and make sure that all of the Gravity Forms capabilities are added to this role.

- If that isn't it, sometimes when you first activate a plugin or login to the admin you won't see the menu item and will have to clear your cache and refresh the page.

If neither of those is it... if could be another plugin conflicting with Gravity Forms. You would have to follow these steps:

Step 1. Deactivate ALL plugins
Step 2. Activate Gravity Forms

If it appears, then activate each of your other plugins one by one. If you encounter a plugin that causes a problem, let us know.

We haven't had a plugin conflict that has caused this issue (usually it's a javascript conflict), but anything is possible with WordPress plugins.

Let me know how it goes.

Gravity forms does not appear under settings, nor does "Forms" appear in the main back-end navigation.

Also, the formatting of the search results in this forum makes it difficult to find answers.

Help!
