OK thanks Carl. It's an old (but up-to-date) installation. But I guess I'll have to play detective :-)

I would make sure the database user associated with your wp-config.php file has the writes to create new tables. That could be the issue, the user account could have been changed and writes removed.

This is a rare issue, if Gravity Forms can't create the necessary tables then there is a problem with the WordPress site that is preventing it from being able to create those tables.

Unfortunately I already tried it. I'll try looking through the wp-config.php

So you do not see any custom tables created by Gravity Forms in your database? They would have YOURPREFIX_rg_tablename as the tablename structure (rg_ is the sub-prefix).

If those don't exist that is the problem. Gravity Forms didn't create the tables on install either because something went wrong with the install or the database didn't create the tables.

Try this...

- Go to the Gravity Forms Settings page (Forms > Settings)
- Click the Uninstall button to completely uninstall Gravity Forms
- Go to the Plugins page
- Reactivate Gravity Forms

This should then re-install the plugin and create the tables. If it's not creating the tables then there is something going on with your WordPress install or the database user associated with your wp-config.php file doesn't have access to create tables in your WordPress database.

I'm trying to create a form (I've done it tons of times before on other installations) But now when I press save form and choose preview I get: Oops! We could not locate your form.

I've tried deactivating all other plugins, but the result is the same.

No new tables are created in the db.
