@taropaa I see you have a current Gravity Forms license. Please start a new topic in the regular support forums (rather than the pre-purchase forum) and ask a more specific question and we'll be happy to show you some examples. Thank you.

Hi, I am also looking to pass data to a form. I am building a form for a charity event and we want to have custom URL's, and track how many tickets each of us sells. (by passing the name or something as a variable to the form).

Mike, yes, you can accomplish both with Gravity Forms. After you've made your purchase we'd be happy to help point you in the proper direction on realizing your goals.

While waiting for someone from GF support to get here, I can try to answer your questions.

1. Fetching the ref.

Yes, you can do that by using dynamic population, which allows you to pass varables to a form field in several different ways. For example, it's easy to use a filter to pass a meta value (the ref) to the field from the post or page where it is embedded.

2. Passing the job name

A hook - gform_after_submission - allows you to take any data submitted through the form, and do anything you want with it. So yes, you can easily add/update user meta after submission.

Hi

I have never used Gravity forms before. I have a pre-sales question.

I have been asked to develop a recruitment agency website for a client. They needing it done as cheaply as possible, so I am wanting to use Wordpress to achieve this instead of creating my own CMS for them.

I wanted to know if it is possible with Gravity forms, to fetch a ref number from a job description page and add it to the form when they upload their cv and submit to apply for the job.

Also I wanted to know it would be able to pass the job name they apply for to their user profile in Wordpress.

Many thanks :)
Regards

Mike
