I see what you mean now. However, there is no way to add that information to the PayPal setting screen when you map your form fields.

However, you can send an 'invoice number' to PayPal if you want. The gform_paypal_invoice allows only integers though http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Gform_paypal_invoice

You can use gform_paypal_query to add any additional information you want to the information being sent to PayPal: http://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/page/Gform_paypal_query

ok...

I created an Event Registration form and linked it to my GF PayPal ad on. I am also using Events Calendar Pro by Modern Tribe anf GF Custom Post TyYpes Pugin.

On each individual event page, ECP displays some basic info. The combination of my theme (MySiteMyWay) and ECP doesn't work well with any particular Ecommerce platform - without serious custom coding. So, I built a simple event registration form using GF that can be added to each event page via shortcode.

here is an example: http://newtampachamber.org/event/chamber-monthly-luncheon-april/

*anwer yes to the question and enter number of attendees to see the complete form

the GF form I built has fields for all of the relevant data needed to register someone for an event and because I am also using your User Registration ad on, I can associate event registrations with registered site users easily.

in order to create and link my event registration form to PayPal, I have to set things up within the GF Paypal settings area. specifically, I have to associate my form fields with PayPal's required form fields so that billing data from my form gets passed correctly to PayPal.

My question references "custom meta" because the GF user registration ad on allows me to create custom fields that are in addition to the basic user registration fields for this ad on. I can give these extra fields a Custom Title and associate them with any form form field on that particular form. It's realy a great feature. My thinking was that it would be nice to add extra fields inside the GF PayPal settings area that would allow me to assign a custom post type field or two - as I can inside of the User Registration area. My form has a hidden custom post type field so that we can track registrations for individual events. the ECP plugin uses post titles as its event titles, so the GF custom post type field works great for this!

After the event form is completed and submitted, the user is taken to PayPal to complete payment. the description that appears on the left side of the PayPal screen is the title of GF price / product field. In my case, this always says "General Admission - $20.00". I was thinking it might be nice to make it say something more specific (thus the custom post type remark) like "April 2013 Luncheon - $20.00".

Perhaps there is an easier way to accomplish this but this is the only way I could think of explaining it.

again, feedback is appreciated.

Can you explain what information you want to add, and where you want to add it? I was confused by "custom fields" and "custom post type" and I'm not sure where you want to display either of those bits of information. The more information you can provide, the better we'll be able to help you. Thanks.

Can I add custom fields to the PayPal set up when creating a new payment form? Right now, there is a default list of fields that appear that relate only to payment information.

I am using GF to register attendees fro multiple events and I would like to add a custom post type to each form - so that when completing the payment process at PayPal, the user can see the name of the event on the payment screen.

Thanks for your thoughts!
