SOLUTION (in my experience): In the PayPal feed for the Subscription option, I chose "Form Total" instead of "Donation Amount" that I originally had.

I didn't think to do this at first as I didn't notice the "Form Total" option in the dropdown in the PayPal feed area.

Thanks Gravity Forms!

Hi guys – I am actually finding the same experience: Conditional logic is set up for 2 PayPal feeds based on Frequency. The "Other" donation amount box works with one-time donations but not with subscriptions.

Basically, the suggested donations pass through successfully to PayPal using one-time donations or Subscriptions.

The "Other" amount passes successfully through to PayPal only when a "one-time" donation and not when a "Subscription".

Did you guys ever resolve this (your issue is very similar to mine which is why I didn't start a new thread – I hope that was the right thing to do!)?

Thanks guys.

Sure Peter, I can take a look for you. Please send a WordPress admin login to chris@rocketgenius.com and I will take a look at how this is configured.

If it is directing people to the thank you page instead of paypal, then the paypal condition you have set is not being satisfied, or the total is zero.

Hmmm.. I think I figured out how it should work. I targeted the custom donation amount (other) as the recurring amount variable in the subscription transaction type, and then enabled the paypal based on condition (using frequency in my case). But it's directing people to my thank you page immediately instead of going to paypal.... Thoughts on what I should do?

I'm stuck.

If I have an "Other" option, I can send that to Paypal with a donation transaction type. No problem. But, I also have a "frequency" option, which determines subscriptions and lengths.

I can't do multiple paypal conditions, so how can I set up a feed to look for an "other" donation amount with a frequency variable? (Frequency = One time donation, monthly recurring, quarterly recurring, yearly).

(For example, a user wants to donate $25/month or $25/quarter or $25/year.)

No, but I will. I just wasn't sure if there was a simpler way to have a user-defined price, especially with the subscriptions. I have three subscription options, so essentially, I'll need three more feeds for this "other" (user-defined price).
