Using the gform_pre_submission_filter you can update the label of the price field after the user has submitted the form. Here is an example:

Okay, to clarify. I send out an invoice that has an invoice number. I invite users to pay online. The form has a field in which they identify the invoice, and the amount they want to pay. I want the invoice number to be reflected in the PayPal cart. How?

I want my users to be able to complete a form that identifies an invoice number and the amount of the payment. I'm using the "user defined price" as an option. The problem is, during the PayPal checkout, there is no reference to the "invoice number" to which the payment applies. Suggestions?

Form located at http://www.lawjock.com/payment
