PayPal only supports 1 Donation field, which is why we combine them if you have multiple and send it as one line item. PayPal's donation capabilities are limited so we are forced to work within their constraints. I'm not sure if there is any real difference from a reporting standpoint between Donations in PayPal and non-Donations in PayPal. You could use standard Product fields and a standard PayPal transaction if you wanted more control over the line item display.

OK - that will work. Is there a way to get PayPal to itemize the donation amounts? So on one line have it say 3 tickets = $150, another line say Additional Donation Amount = $25

Right now, it lumps all the field labels on the left side separated by commas, and totals up the entire donation amount. It would be cool if it could be itemized.

The Field Label is used for the product name for the Donation field. Your Field Label is really long, so that is why it is displaying that. Try using a shorter field label that just says Donation, and then use the description for the more descriptive information.

I just got the PayPal add-on for Gravity Forms today. I was impressed with how easy it was to integrate a form with PayPal.

We are a nonprofit and we're having a benefit concert where tickets are $50 apiece. You can select 1-10 tickets, with the total multiplied out. You can also select an option that if you can't make the concert, you can still make a donation (when you select this option the amount field is blank). Additionally, you can also make an additional donation on top of the cost of the ticket(s).

When you click submit to go to the PayPal Sandbox I have set up, it mushes everything together rather than showing line items. You can see a screen shot here:

http://benedictinewomen.org/wp-content/images/paypal-line-item-error.jpg

Any thoughts on this?
