I just did a (1st time) fresh installation of the Mailchimp Add-In and when I went to configure the Mailchimp settings in Gravity Forms it is asking for MailChimp API key as opposed to my Mailchimp user name and password as shown in the documentation. Does this have something to do with this issue? Any insight on where I locate my Mailchimp API key for this plug in? I am non-techie so any configuration of API is over my head, I can copy and past a key number in tough.

Thanks for the heads up Chris,

I also received the email and have been doing some research on the possible impacts. From everything I read, there seems to be nothing that will affect the Add-On. It should work as is without any changes.

However, I am going to try and reach out to our contact at MailChimp to make sure there isn't anything that needs to be adjusted on our end.

I'm sure y'all are on this. But just in case I wanted to pass along something I just received from MailChimp about their API changing. Sounds like it will affect how the MailChip Add On works.

Here's what they said:

You know something important's going on when we use the word "ramifications." If you use Account Keys, the MailChimp API, or if you use an integration that uses the MailChimp API, you need to read this:

We're phasing out the Account Keys feature. If you've issued Account Keys, they'll all be converted into Admin-level users. If you have any Account Keys that aren't in use, you can sign in to MailChimp now and revoke them. Or, just wait till we launch and adjust their accounts down from Admin level.

The MailChimp API is not yet built to support multi-user accounts. We're working on that now. The API will work fine (there won't be any disruption) but there isn't any permissions granularity in the API yet.

So that means integrations that use the API (or our mobile apps) will only work if you sign in as an Admin-level or Manager-level user.

If you're reading this email and saying, "What's an Account Key, and what's an integration that uses an API?" please forward this to the person that actively manages your organization's MailChimp account. It's pretty important. Use the "ramifications" word in your subject line.

Do you know at this point what the ramifications of these changes are to your Add On?
