I was having this same problem and found a temporary solution. As you suggested, use a plain text field and it transfers over just fine. I entered the phone number in the format xxx-xxx-xxxx and Mailchimp entered it on the phone column as (xxx) xxx-xxxx. Just what I needed. Temporary solution until forms are updated.

We can look into this on our end and see what is going on. Gravity Forms v1.6 will introduce javascript mask capabilities to the Single Input field so you could create a custom mask specific to the MailChimp format and use that. v1.6 will be released as a beta next week. But we will look into this issue on our end and see what needs to be corrected in the Add-On as they should be compatible.

I have Gravity Forms and the MailChimp add-on submitting a form that includes 2 fields for phone numbers. Mailchimp automatically creates 3 seperate fields for the area code and the two parts of the phone number (US/CANADA style).

So, when I submit my form, my number ends up looking like this in the MailChimp subscriber info:

((555)555) 5555-

I have tried using specific number formats and everything in the Gravity Form field for the phone numbers, but it always ends up looking like that.

Is there a better way to handle this so the number transfers cleanly? Should I just use a standard text field on the MailChimp side?
