For example, we are having a contest and each contestant has a contest username. I wanted a way for them to easily be able to see all their art that they have submitted at once while still allowing every artwork post that is submitted to be in 1 category. When the fill out the form there is a field that they type their contest username in. Sure I could just have the tag field and tell them to put their contest username in again, but I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to allow the form fields to be able to be assigned as a tag. If you are going to allow this for excerpts you might as well allow this for tags while you are at it :) Right now you can inset variables such as username, ip address etc as tags... why can't you assign some form data as tags? </p>
