Update: I found a PlugIn conflict. It was, fyi, wp Typography by Jeffery King.... has lotsa stars.... whatever.

I am setting up Paypal, so I think I am good to go... Sorry about all the hassle.

The fact that some forms worked and others didn't threw me....
Thanks!

OK,
I have tried lots of things with the form, believe me. All the other forms I've built work fine. They do not have pricing. The bottom line is it works fine until I add an additional product box or Option box, then it will not show up on the page.
I have the form rebuilt; started from scratch. It worked fine until I added the additional product and options.

Note, I have submitted the form successfully in Preview mode. Everything works; it just won't show up on the page. HOWEVER I am not getting the Paypal payment option either. Do I need a button on the form? I have the Gravity Form Paypal plugin... How do I make it show up? I have done the IPN with Paypal... the plugin is activated. But there's nothing on the form.

So I have two issues: Paypal doesn't show up; Form disappears from page.

The links:
To Site (links are labeled 2013 Conference registration or Online Registration): http://www.ncreading2.dreamhosters.com

To Form (North Carolina Reading Association 44th Annual Conference):
http://www.ncreading2.dreamhosters.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_edit_forms&id=13

I am running the test for theme and plugin conflicts you gave me above.....
THANKS!

The best way to learn is to just get into the form and start building it. See where you get stuck. Make mistakes, delete some fields, then add some more in.

The registration options will probably be products. The breakfast can be a product (if it's the same price for everyone) or an option (if pricing is different depending on the registrant's status.) The additional workshops will be products as well.

Add all your products to the form, be sure to add a total field, and see if it works to total everything up as expected. Once the form is working correctly, map the PayPal feed. We'll help you if you get stuck.

Thank you for the info! Since the form wasn't working in the first place, I'm not going to make the effort to recover it. The Contact form was easy enough to duplicate online....

Still working on the online registration form. You didn't indicate if there is a process or procedure I should follow...

I have a form that needs to allow registrants to choose between various options (Member, non-member, grad student), all with different pricing. Then, they have the option of buying breakfast or not; then they have an additional option of multiple extra workshops (at various prices)....

If you can offer any instruction on how to build this form (just the pricing elements) I would appreciate it. The payment is via paypal (I have those plugins).

Thanks!

To move the forms from one site to another, you should export them from the old site and import them in the new site. When you change hosts or URL, the serialized values can get corrupted which breaks the forms. You can try the meta recovery tool from the bottom of this page and see if you can recover any of the forms.

Download the Meta Recovery Tool from the bottom of this page and install and activate it like any other plugin. Once it's installed, you will have a Meta Recovery menu item in your Forms menu.

I will post a URL asap (Monday)... right now I have removed the forms that don't work and put a dummy form up so the Site owner (a nonprofit) can check the site so far...

When I migrated the site onto the host server (Dreamhost), A couple of forms didn't make it for whatever reason. They are listed in the form list in the dashboard, but the actual pages are just the dummy form you get when you start a new form; I lost all the info and form I built.

It's odd, because a couple of forms made it fine.... The two that migrated are a contact form and a pricing form that's simple. The two that didn't make it are another contact form and the complex pricing form I am writing about....

I'll read the instructions link, and I'll be back, with the URL, thank you for your help...

If the form appears in the form preview but not the live site, you likely have a plugin or theme conflict and a JavaScript error causing the form to not be displayed. Please post a URL to the page on your site where the form fails to appear.

Also, we're probably going to ask you to check for theme and plugin conflicts by using these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing

If you post the URL here, we should be able to see why the form does not display.

Sorry, I am probably using different terminology.

It's the drag-and-drop box from the Pricing set of box options when you are creating a form. There's Product, Options, Total etc. in that group of drag-and-drop modules or boxes. How that whole thing is supposed to come together is unclear to me from the documentation. The examples you give are very simple, but it seems to me that the Gravity Forms plugin is sophisticated enough to do what I need; I can get it to work with the "Preview" form, but on the actual Wordpress page the form simply doesn't show up. As soon as I take off the additional product or option box, the form shows up on the WP page.

I am not a developer, I'm a designer, so I can't look at the code to figure this out, that's why I'm using a plugin. I may very well be doing this wrong, so I'd appreciate any guidance on how to make the pricing boxes work together to create a more complex (but typical) set of options for ordering something. I planned to use Gravity Forms in the future for similar conference and workshop registration scenarios, so I'm hoping to get this figured out!

Thank you so much for your help...

What is a product module? That is not a feature of Gravity Forms, unless we're using different terminology.

I have successfully added a couple of simple forms to a Wordpress site, but I'm trying to do a conference registration form with various pricing options (One set of prices for early bird registration: member, non-member, student, etc.; another set of prices for later registration: member, non-mmember, student, etc.) and other pricing options (breakfast, no breakfast, you get the picture). The form works fine with one product module on it. When I add any other module with pricing options, the form breaks and doesn't appear on the page anymore.

I am currently working locally on the site via MAMP, so there's no URL as yet.

I have tried to find specific documentation for how to set up the forms, in case I'm not using the correct method, but I can find no specific info for that either, just very generic, basic How to. I've set up several forms successfully, so I understand the basics. I just don't understand why using more than one product module or more than one option module is failing.

This seems like a common and not particularly difficult scenario for pricing on a form..... can Gravity forms handle it, or am I doing something wrong?

I have updated versions of WordPress, Gravity Forms and Pagelines theme...

Thanks for your help!
