Thanks for getting back to me.

I've done an ad hoc fix for just know by giving the Product fields a class and making that class display:none using css. The field names still appear in the submitted form but a bit of clever naming removes any confusion.

I'll try out the beta in a non-live environment.

Thanks again for the help.

The current public release does not allow you to have a hidden Product Field which is what you want to do. However, the Gravity Forms v1.6 release which is currently a beta test release.

Using the Gravity Forms v1.6 beta release you can add a single Product Field to your form and set it's field type to hidden. Still give it a Field Label, because the Field Label will be used as the Product Name.

Then you can add Option Fields that the user can select from. They won't see the Product Field on the form but it will be there behind the scenes. They will only see the Options and the end result.

I understand that that the Product fields don't total, That's fine and not something I expected or need. But I'm confused. From what I've read from other forum posts, I need to use the option fields 'tied' a product field. I don't care about having any sort of 'subtotal' for the various options, so how do I set it so these product field prices tied with options don't show? Or do I do this at all?

Basically, I want to have a product which is selected on a previous (non Gravity Forms page), which then takes you to a page with the Product form and this product has various options which I need to categorize into different options e.g. Visual Options, Functional Options, Photography etc.

So, in a nutshell, how can I have one product on the form and assign it different 'categories' of options i.e. options listed in separate Option Fields? Or do I have to have them all in 1 options field checkbox list? I hope not as this will make the form more than a bit unclear unruly for users.

Thanks.

What kind of field are Visual Total, Functional Total, Photography Packages Total and Social Media Integration Total?

Because it looks like you are using a Product Field set to Single Product for these. In which cause the price is what you enter in the Price option for that field when editing it. It doesn't calculate the total based on it's options.

The only field that calculates the total of the pricing fields is the Total field itself.

I've made a screen cap of the form so you can see what I referring to.

I'm not 100% clear what you are describing. The Total field always calculates the total for the entire form, not for a specific product. So i'm not sure what sub-total you are referring to.

Hi.

I have created a form with multiple product fields which are tied/assigned to option fields. I have a Total Field at the bottom of the form. The options for the products are checkboxes. The Total Field at the bottom is totaling correctly as the form is filled and the submitted form data has all the totals for the individual Products (with checked options). But for some reason the individual Product Total/Price Fields aren't updating as the form is filled in.

Here's a rough example:

Core Product: £200 (Required)

Additional Product A
Options:
Coloured widget + £10 (checked by user)
Glossy paint + £20 (checked by user)
Chrome Trim + £40 (unchecked)

Additional Product A Total
Price: £0 (This should be £30)

Order Total: £230 (this is the correct aggregated total)

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks very much.

David
