That's why it may look different. The image is served up by the third party reCaptcha service and not something Gravity Forms controls. You can always try using the Really Simple Captcha plugin and then switching to that option for your Captcha field. In the admin preview both words display correctly, but on the public site one word is doubled. It's very hard to read.
