@illinoisharley,

Thank you for your suggestions! I did try refreshing the page, toggling the active/deactivate plugin, logout/login. Nothing seemed to work for me. However, I went ahead a purchased the Developer license and so far, so good.

craiger522, did you try refreshing the plugins page, maybe just click the plugin menu item again? I don't think the feedback was immediate after activating, I think I had to refresh the page, or maybe I looked around a little bit, dashboard, settings, etc, and didn't see anything, but when I came back to the plugins page, I saw this:

Congratulations! Gravity Forms is supported! Get your copy of Gravity Forms here

OK. Even after reading the above, I'm having the same problem. I put just the php file in my plugins directory and activated it. No message about the system requirements. Just "Plugin Activated." What am I doing wrong? Here's a screencast showing my efforts: http://screencast.com/t/NjQ5ZmEx

LOL It actually helped us determine why some people are experiencing a problem with the requirements check plugin that we couldn't figure out before. We are going to change it so that it doesn't create a folder when the zip file is opened. That way it just consists of a PHP file you upload to your plugins folder. You aren't the first user to run into this issue.

ugh. what a rookie mistake!

Plugin is working now that I got it installed correctly. Yay! Gravity Forms will work on my hosting provider's servers.

thanks for the tip!

Are you uploading JUST the plugin php file itself into your plugins folder or are you uploading the folder that is created by the requirements plugin zip file?

Hi!

I'd love to use GravityForms on a site I maintain, but I can't seem to get any useful information from the "Requirements Check" Plugin.

It's installed and activated, but it's not reporting whether it will work on my host environment. All that's listed on the plugin management page is the plugin description

Gravity Forms Requirements Check
Checks the WordPress hosting environment to verify system requirements for Gravity Forms, the form management plugin for WordPress

Is there anything else I need to check? Any WordPress settings that could be preventing the plugin in from doing its job?
