Multiple follow up messages (drip marketing, for example) will not be handled by Gravity Forms. You can integrate your Gravity Form with any 3rd party service or plugin which can provide that repeat email functionality for you. Gravity Forms will capture the subscriber information and then you need to pass that information to the mailing service which will provide a set of scheduled emails.

Hmmm... I guess I wasn't clear by what I meant when I said "Auto-responder".

I need the ability to send a weekly series of emails to a visitor who signs up for them. My client wants to offer visitors a 6 weeks of tips newsletter email series (while collecting their contact info for followup messages). I know there are other contact form plugins that allow you to automatically send a thank you email to the visitor -- but I need to send multiple follow-up messages, as the WP Autoresponder And Newsletter plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-responder-email-autoresponder-and-newsletter-plugin/) does.

Can Gravity Forms do this type of autoresponder? Or might there be a way to co-ordinate Gravity Forms with the WP Autoresponder And Newsletter plugin where the visitor could fill out the newsletter request form made with Gravity Forms, but get the newsletter sent to them weekly for 6 weeks via the WP Autoresponder And Newsletter plugin?

Thanks,

Jerri

Notifications are detailed here:
http://www.gravityforms.com/features/notifications/

The interface is very intuitive. There is a check box to enable notifications, then drop downs for the email field and a place to enter the From email address and name. Then the body of the notification can be edited with a WYSIWYG editor, and all the submitted form data is available to be merged into the body of the notification, using a drop down select box.

BTW, WordPress and the Gravity Forms plugin on the demo site both need to be updated...

Thanks David.

That's where I went before for the demo. Is there a place there where I can see a form's auto-responder, as Chris mentioned? I'm not clear on how I (or more correctly, my non-techy clients) would set up the auto-responder and its associated messages. Does the demo site allow me to set one up, or at least see how it would be done?

Thanks,

There isn't a way to preview the e-mail notification. And you are correct that there isn't a free trial version, but you can try out our demo installation at http://gravityforms.com/demo

Thanks for your reply, Chris.

I didn't see a way to preview the auto-responder feature in the Gravity Forms demo site. Is there a way to see how it works in there? If so, that might help.

And am I right in assuming that there's no "free trial" version of the plugin that I can test with?

Thanks again,

The auto-responder feature is built in, and each form's auto-responder can be edited in the form builder, accessed via the WordPress back end.

You can pass information from form one to form two as you described.

You can send a user notification and an administrator notification, and can send either of them to as many people as you need to.

You can accomplish all that you decribed with Gravity Forms.

Hi,

I am building a WordPress site for a client who is not technically sophisticated at all. They pretty much want everything automated for them. Gravity Forms was recommended to me, and so far it looks pretty good. But I don't see a way to preview the auto-responder features, either as an admin or a site visitor. I need to know that 1) I can set up the auto-responder for the client, and 2) the client can easily make changes to the auto-responder later.

Also, they want to collect contact information on several pages of the site. Is there a way to either 1) refill forms on subsequent pages with their contact info once they've filled one form out (on one page, they may request a weekly email newsletter, on another a pdf download, etc.) or 2) have a form that can appear on multiple pages with checkboxes to select the various goodies -- maybe with contact info staying in the form from page to page?

And when the user submits the form, I may need an email with user info sent to my client at the same time.

I'm really not sure how I'm going to handle this setup yet, so I'm looking for flexibility and options.

Thanks!
