Visitors do not need to be logged in to create a post. Your form can be submitted by anyone. If the visitor is not a logged in user, the form can set the user you want the post attributed it.

You can select pending, draft or published when allowing a form to create new posts.

User's cannot edit their own posts. They're not really users if they are anonymous.

Notifications are sent out when the form is submitted. The notification can say whatever you want (including a link to the post, or the post status if it's pending.) Once you change the status, it's up to you to notify the person who submitted it. It's not related to Gravity Forms at all at that point: it's a WordPress post.

Does that help clarify things?

Hi all,

How to enable guest posting with GF ? I want that users just have to give their name and email; and fill the (optional) CAPTCHA.

Does GF work with the WordPress roles & capabilities system : eg. if a user send a post; will it pend or will it published ? Is the user allowed to edit a published post ?

How to enable notifications with GF : eg. how to email the user when his post is pending, has been published or has been deleted. As admin; can I write the reason of the deletion of a post in an optional box. and how to include it in the notification message ?

TY
