I would love this feature I used Ninja forms for a client and didn't have a good experience but like Gravity forms so would really love this incorporated into the plugin :)

Another vote for this feature. Would be great for a person to save their data and come back later, login with a user name and password, then edit the data to re-submit.

Thanks!

This is something that would also be very useful to me. However, I do understand what you said above.

What I was going to be asking about, before doing a search, was the ability to have an option where the user can save each page as they complete it, just in case something goes wrong at some point, such as them losing their internet connection.

I'm guessing that this would be a useful option when you add the front-end editing ability, but don't worry, I won't be asking an ETA on this.

The way I'd see it working, is that when they click the next/previous button, it will automatically save that information as a draft copy, and it is only when they click the send button at the end that it is sent to an admin for review.

In my case, this is for film festivals to add their listing, so there is an amazing amount of data being added to the form, about 10-15 pages by the time I've finished it. So you can see why it would be useful to have it stored somewhere.

Is Save and Continue functionality we'd like to add to Gravity Forms? Definitely. When? I can't say. I've stopped providing any kind of ETA on features due to users who have attacked, yelled and screamed at me when an ETA has slipped or changed. Until a feature is in active development, which this feature is not, any ETA would be pure guesswork.

This is most definitely a feature plan on adding, however there are more complexities involved than people realize. There are a variety of ways this functionality can be implemented, from simply storing all the data in a cookie, to storing the data in a temporary table. There are ways to do it securely and ways to do it where it isn't as secure.

When we implement it, we want to do it right. We don't implement features just to implement them. We aren't in a feature war with anyone because a feature war is a sure fire way to lose control of your product.

One thing to keep in mind is that features you may think is fundamental are not necessarily features that the vast majority of our users think is fundamental. With over 350,000 sites running Gravity Forms we have an extremely varied user base. We've simply had more highly requested features that we've been working on but i'm sure we'll get to save and continue functionality in due time.
