Jeff sent me the following link he found which is a tutorial on doing a multi-page form that saves each page using separate forms and pushing data through the various forms to the last form. http://wordimpress.com/capture-lead-in-gravity-forms-before-submission/

Thanks Jeff, and just wait until you see the stuff our development team is working on. We have a bunch of huge releases coming out in the next few weeks.

All my best!

Thank you for the reply. While I was hoping for a better answer I'm happy to hear that it's at least on the development list.

Other than this one issue, my initial opinion on Gravity Forms is nothing but positive. It blows Contact Form 7 away!

As far as I know, the Data persistence add-on just saves for the visitor, and not for the admin. Multiple single page forms would do what you want. Data management of such a set-up would be a bit of a pain, but it is the only other workaround currently. It is on our development list, but it probably won't be tackled this year as our development team already has a full slate of new features and add-ons they are working on.

The data persistence add-on just saves it for the site visitor; am I correct with that thinking?

Do you know of any way, using multi-page forms or multiple single page forms, to save partially completed data so the site admins have that info?

I know a lot goes into coding, often way more than one would realize, but I would think it would be possible to insert an entry into the database table with the first submit, or Next button, and then for advancing to the following pages, they would just update the record in the table instead of inserting a new one. Then upon submission of the final page that entry could be noted somehow that it was a full submission instead of a partial.

Is there anything like this in the works? Planned features or what-have-you?

Oh, and thank you very much for the ultra fast response.

Other than the data persistence add-on, there is currently no way to save partial entries in Gravity Forms at this time.

Hi. I just bought a personal license of Gravity Forms, and if it gets the job done on this current project I'll move to a developer license for the next projects. So far I like it very much.

I have one question/issue though...

I have a multi-page form. I understand the "pages" are really just jquery working to show/hide different parts of the form. But is it possible to save the data entered as a form entry in the admin? So, if I have a four page form, and the site visitor completes pages 1 and 2, but then leaves before page 3 is completed, is it possible for the admins to have a record of that? This way the admin could potentially contact the site visitor and inquire why they stopped completing the form, if they need help, need an incentive, etc.

I looked at and installed the Gravity Forms Data Persistence Add-On, but I don't want my visitors to have to login, and I'm mostly interested in getting the partial info to my site admin.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Jeff Cook
