If you are using a role manager plugin, you'll have to add the new capabilities as you pointed out.

Is this a Multi-Site install? If so, some menu items only appear for the Super Admin. This is to prevent users from accessing things like Add-Ons, Updates, etc. because only the Super Admin should be able to do that type of stuff.

Update: turns out I forgot to add the permissions in role manager plugin, but that also did not help.

I have updated two sites to GF 1.5, both running on WP 3.1 with Genesis. On one site I get to see the "Add-Ons" link in the GF menu in the back end, but on the other site not.

I tried to reach the page by entering the url directly, but then I get the message that I haven't got enough permissions to do that, whilst I am logged in as a user with admin role.

Any suggestions?

thx in advance
