Aha! I had the Output CSS set to "No" in the settings. Changed it to "Yes" and everything looks better! Who knew.. I was just glad to have it working. Thanks for catching that!

Wonderful. Thanks for the update. The setup does sound a little strange, but It's great to hear you got everything working.

I looked at your form and see the default form styles aren't being loaded and applied. Are you adding the form via a shortcode in the post editor, or manually adding it to the page template with a function call? I'm assuming a shortcode since this was the original topic.

If you are manually adding it, you'll want to go to the documentation page, get the script block at the bottom of the page and add that to your theme's functions.php file. It will manually enqueue all of the necessary CSS and scripts (datepicker, etc) to make GF work/display properly.

IT'S WORKING!! Even though I haven't received a reply yet from you folks regarding the shortcode issue, I did take a look at the way WordPress was installed on the site and it was put in two directories (strange). I'm not sure how it exactly all works, but it seems the rmc-aosa.org/blog directory I placed Gravity Forms was not the same as the one that WordPress was looking for (root). There were two separate /plugin files, one in /blog/wp-content/plugins with Gravity Forms, and one in the root directory without. As soon as I copied Gravity Forms into that second /plugin file, everything worked!! I don't know how to even go about fixing the way my site is setup, but all I know is that if I keep those two directories identical, everything should work out for now. My form is so pretty now:) Thanks for the plugin which is everything I need and more...as long as it's working!
Here's a link to the finished form: http://rmc-aosa.org/membershipregistration/

I'll take a look. I did notice some strangeness with your site in general. Some URL paths to the admin aren't working correctly. I think there is something up with your WordPress install, it's highly unusual for one shortcode to work and not another and the issues I encountered with the admin URL going to a page talking about database upgrade (your domain and then /wp-admin, not /blog/wp-admin but just /wp-admin and you will see the screen i'm talking about). We will take a look.

Thanks. I submitted a contact form to you guys to see if you can take a look at it. In the meanwhile I am going to have to go ahead and re-install Contact Form 7 so my members can register, but I really want a URL re-direct option to that CF7 cannot provide.

Hoping Gravity Forms will be my answer in the future since its so easy to specify a url or page re-direct.

BTW, CS7 shortcode works fine, but something is up with not displaying the JavaScript correctly... probably a question for their forum, but I wonder if its related to the GF shortcode not working on my page too... hmmm...

We would need a WordPress admin login to this site in order to look into it further and determine what is going on. You can send this information to us via our Contact Us form and we would be glad to take a look at it.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I shortened the shortcode to [gravityform id=1]....showing just that text.

I activated default theme (and classic theme)....still not showing.

Next, I deactivated all my plugins (WP Shopping Cart, Akismet, TinyMC Advanced) and left Gravity Forms activated.....still nothing.

Tried making a new "test" page and adding the form here: http://rmc-aosa.org/?page_id=191

Any more suggestions? I don't want to have just wasted $40!

Can you try shortening the shortcode so it is just:

[gravityform id=1]

And let me know if it works? I want to see if the / in the MEMBERSHiP/REGISTRATIONFORM could be causing some sort of problem.

If that is not it, it may be some sort of theme or plugin conflict with either Atahualpa or one of your other plugins preventing the shortcode from working.

You would have to test for conflicts.

- Activate the Default Kubrick Theme
- Test the shortcode

If that works, something with Atahualpa is causing an issue with shortcodes. If that isn't it.

- Deactivate ALL other plugins
- Activate Gravity Forms
- Test the shortcode

If that works, one of your other plugins is causing an issue. To determine which one...

- Activate each plugin one by one
- Test the shortcode after you activate each plugin

When you test the shortcode after activating a plugin and it doesn't work, that plugin is causing problems with WordPress shortcodes.

Yes it's possible for a plugin or theme to cause problems such as this, and prevent some shortcodes from working and not others.

Hi,
Just made the switch to Gravity Forms, made my form, went to page to embed the form, got generated shortcode, updated page, and all I see is
[gravityform id=1 name=MEMBERSHIP/REGISTRATIONFORM] on the page.
Using Atahualpa theme 3.4.1. Other shortcodes from other plugins working fine.(like WP Shopping Cart)
Tried disabling other plugins to see if there was a conflict. Still not working.
Any other ideas why this awesome plugin is not working????

I want to put the form here: http://rmc-aosa.org/?page_id=9

Thanks.
