I suggest that you both re-read what I stated above.

Nowhere in my posts above did I say that the Personal License would be getting access to the available Add-Ons. I stated that we would be making an additional option for users to be able to access Add-Ons... and we did.

Prior to Gravity Forms v1.5 the Add-Ons were only available with the Developer License.

With the release of Gravity Forms v1.5 we made basic Add-Ons available to Business License customers.

So we expanded Add-On access for some Add-Ons to include users who purchased the Business License when previously only Developer License customers had Add-On access.

We never said the Personal License would be receiving access to Add-Ons because we have no plans to do so. The Personal License is for basic usage and will never includes access to the Add-Ons that we provide.

The main differentiator between the Personal, Business and Developer Licenses *IS* the Add-On access. It isn't the number of sites you can use Gravity Forms on, although that is a differentiator... but it is not the key differentiator.

If we provided the Personal License with access to all of our Add-Ons that means we would no longer have a key differentiator for the Business and Developer License.

It also means we would have to provide support for all of those Add-Ons to the Personal License customers. Personal License customers tend to be the most support intensive users, so providing them with access to the Add-Ons is only going to increase the amount of support that they utilize... while still paying the same low price. That's a recipe for disaster and ultimately would impact our other users by negatively impacting our ability to provide a high level of customer service.

Gravity Forms pricing is extremely fair, in fact I think it's low. Compare it to Wufoo and Formstack and you will see that our pricing is much more reasonable and we provide much deeper WordPress integration then they do because they are hosted solutions and have no WordPress specific functionality.

We are a small company and our pricing model and policies are designed with business sustainability in mind. We are here for the long haul. This isn't a hobby for us. We aren't a 2 person shop who develops Gravity Forms on the side to make some extra money. We have an office, employees, benefits, etc. and after going on 3 years I can say that our pricing model works and we have no plans on fixing something that isn't broken.

So just to be clear... we never stated the Personal License would be receiving Add-On access and there are no plans to change that going forward.

Hi Guys,

This strand is quite a put-off really. I would buy the personal option right now if it came with access to the mailchimp add-on. Please advise whether this is possible or not as I don't think that this is viable without the mailchimp add on.

Thanks

Chris

Hum, more than a year ago and now you can get the mailchimp integration add-on but only when you have a business license. And not as stated for a Personal License.

Is this still to come? Or is there some other way to get the add-on with a personal license?

No, it isn't available yet. We will be making changes to Add-On availability when our new web site launches with the final release of Gravity Forms v1.5.

Hi Carl,

Just wondering if the MailChimp add-on is available yet?

I am a single site owner who doesn't want to pay x5 just for MailChimp connectivity.

Thanks much!

Potential buyer,
