Well no wonder you don't understand. But your answer was quite helpful. I see what's happened now.

I hired a programmer to help with a popup members only registration and he's messed up my MailChimp registration by also making it a User Registration. Argh! I took a risk and simply deleted the User Registration form. That seems to have done the trick.

Shoulda asked this weeks ago. Thanks muchly. I love GF.

I'm not entirely sure what your issue is. You mention user registration but you also mention MailChimp.

Is this a MailChimp sign up form, a User Registration form using the User Registration Add-On or both?

If this is a MailChimp sign up form then simply use MailChimp's double opt in option on the MailChimp feed, which is on by default anyway, and the subscriber is only added after confirming their subscription via the MailChimp opt in email that is automatically sent by MailChimp.

If this is a User Registration form that creates a user on your WordPress site then currently there is no user email validation. Currently your only option is to use captcha. Either the reCAPTCHA that is included, or if you install the Really Simple Captcha plugin for WordPress it adds additional captcha options to the captcha field.

If it's both... then you'd have to do both the above.

We are planning on enhancing the User Registration Add-On to incorporate email validation in an update to this Add-On later this year.

I've been looking around for an answer to this question, but thought I'd simply ask it here.

I have a MailChimp sign up form on my home page (www.sharinghousing.com). I guess that the form is requiring a user registration? I'm getting umpteen registrations from what are clearly robots. I don't want to have a captcha on my home page, and I want to make it REALLY EASY for folks to sign up on the page. So.. how to manage this? Other sites do it, right?

I saw the forum post about using New-User-Approval plug in. http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/user-registration-question-using-an-approval-plugin#post-34217.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for help in advance.
