Has anybody come up with a workaround for this problem? I also have a client who wants a similar setup. She has categories for countries, and some countries have subcategories for regions. So I want to have a dropdown of all country categories and then have the appropriate menu of region subcategories display depending on which category the use selects.

Is there a way to use the regular dropdown input and somehow get that data to populate the category of a post? (The form in question is generating a draft post).

Thanks in advance,
Amy

I cannot give you a timeframe as to when this will be made possible in Gravity Forms. We are wrapping up the 1.5 release and it isn't part of that release. Until 1.5 is completed we aren't starting development on additional features.

You can't implement conditional logic from another form into Gravity Forms. Gravity Forms has to handle the conditional logic as the forms are dynamic.

Hi Carl - can you let me know when this conditional logic capability will be added - or if there is a work around.

I have a conditional logic search form on my home page here http://festivalnet.co.uk/ is there anyway to use the code from that in the form?

Thanks

Currently the Post Category field does not support having conditional logic being run against it due to the fact the Post Category field does not work like other drop downs as it is dynamically populated with WordPress categories and other drop down fields are static.

We do plan on adding this capability in the future, however right now it is not possible.

My categories have States as a top level, with each State having multiple Bases. I don't like the category dropdown included with Gforms and would rather split it into two dropdowns.

I have an idea to allow the user to select the state first with a dropdown, then select a base from those available in that state. Is there a way to hide the category select box and then pass the results of the State/Base dropdowns to select the right category?
